Broadway theaters will remain dark through June 7 because of the coronavirus pandemic, but industry professionals said it might be weeks, if not months, after that date before shows can open
The Broadway League, the industry trade group, announced the extended shutdown Wednesday. Shows closed on March 12 as part of statewide efforts to contain the new coronavirus and were originally slated to reopen April 12.
