Jack Conklin restructured his contract with the Browns to lower his cap number and gain some guaranteed money.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- All-Pro right tackle Jack Conklin, rehabbing from surgery to repair a ruptured torn patella tendon, got a vote of confidence from the Browns Saturday in the form of a contract restructuring that provides him with much-coveted guaranteed money.
He will now receive $8 million fully guaranteed, with $4 million incentives based on playing time, beginning at 55% up to 75%. ESPN’s Field Yates was the first to report the restructured deal. Rosenhaus said Conklin, who suffered the injury Nov. 28 against the Ravens, has been rehabbing in Cleveland. The Browns struggled down the stretch without their two-time All-Pro right tackle, including Baker Mayfield getting sacked nine times by the Steelers in Week 17.
