The man accused of killing four University of Idaho students arrived late Wednesday in Idaho where he faces first-degree murder charges. The 28-year-old graduate student is expected to appear at a county courthouse.

In briefings after the arrest, authorities said details couldn’t be released until the suspect was in Idaho and presented with the probable cause affidavit. Mr. Kohberger has been pursuing a doctorate in criminal justice and criminology at Washington State University. The school is about 7 miles from the University of Idaho. Officials in Pennsylvania said Tuesday Mr. Kohberger had driven cross-country with his father in mid-December from the Pullman, Wash., campus where he has an apartment and office.
