The tour comes as Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch attempts to win back customers following a failed partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney earlier this year. In the wake of the partnership, Bud Light sales plummeted, and the beer lost its title as the most purchased beer brand in the United States.
Retailer Costco appears to have halted plans to restock the beer. Bud Light was recently given a"death star" — an asterisk placed next to the price of a product indicating Costco will not restock it once it has sold out.The beer brand went dark on Twitter after April 14, when a tweet reading"TGIF" was met with upset online, but attempted a comeback in June.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Mulvaney had left the U.S. to spend some time in Peru, with Mulvaney stating it was"a little sad" to have to leave the U.S."to feel safe."
