An 18-year-old man has been charged after five teenagers died in a crash south-west of Sydney. 9News
Police arrested Tyrell Edwards on Wednesday afternoon after he was released from hospital, having suffered non-life-threatening injuries when the Nissan ute he was driving went off the road and crashed into a tree about 7.50pm on Tuesday.
Fifteen-year-old Lily van de Putte was killed at the scene, along with two 14-year-old girls, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy.All of them were students at the local Picton High School.Wollondilly Shire Mayor Matt Gould told Today that the deaths have had a profound impact on the community.
