"Officers found the hand and what appeared to be a crime scene, and around the same time, an adult male in his 60s showed up at a local hospital missing a hand," Railsback said."This was, of course, related." The victim, who was believed by authorities to be homeless, is expected to survive, according to a report.
The incident was likely to have been caused by a dispute between two homeless men, and it is believed that the victim and sword-wielding attacker were familiar with each other, Railsback said.The number of homeless individuals in Democrat-run California accounted for roughly 30% of the nation's homeless population in 2022, according to data released by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.Between 2020 and 2022, homelessness rose 6.2%, while states such as Florida, under Gov.
