Bagels were shipped from Boichik Bagels in Berkeley, CA and Ees-a Bagel in New York for a blind taste test of West Coast vs East Coast bagel.As Drew waits in a different room, bagels were prepared with a good amount of cream cheese for his blind taste test at his home.If you’re from New York and you’re like, “F—K YOU, THAT PLACE ISN’T THE GOAT BAGEL PLACE!” I understand.
Labeled A and B to keep the blind taste test as precise as possible, Drew gets ready for the first official bite of bagel.My wife set the plates down in front of me. To my surprise, I couldn’t tell which schmeared bagel was which. Honoring the alphabet, I started with the bagel marked A. A was smaller than B, with a lighter and more even distribution of seeds. I took a bite and it was really, really good.
