Captain America's Wanda Maximoff-induced vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron highlights just how different he is from the rest of the team.

Captain America's unique Avengers: Age of Ultron vision highlights just how different he is from the rest of the team. Wanda Maximoff immediately made an impact in the Marvel Cinematic Universe the moment she met the Avengers. Using her mind-controlling abilities, she hypnotized the heroes and amplified their deepest fears. Iron Man was haunted by the idea of not doing enough to save the universe from the then-unknown threat, while Black Widow was tormented by her Red Room experience.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY After the Avengers' first big outing as a team fighting Loki in the Battle of New York, the team continued working as a unit for a couple of more years, tracking down the last HYDRA cell and retrieving the God of Mischief's Mind Stone-infused scepter. While he seemed to be better settled in the modern world, Steve was still trying to get fully acclimated to his place in the 21st century.

At this point, Steve still didn't know that traveling back in time is possible. In fact, even Tony wasn't convinced that it could be done until five years after Thanos' snap and Ant-Man shared his experience of being stuck in the Quantum Realm. So, Captain Rogers didn't really have any choice but to accept his reality and make peace with the life that he never got to live.

Captain America's Age Of Ultron Vision Became His Happy Ending Steve may have not known it during Avengers: Age of Ultron, but because of the threat brought by Thanos, the Avengers eventually found a way to make time travel possible in Avengers: Endgame. Not only did it allow the Decimation to be undone, but it also offered Captain America the chance to return to his rightful time and place.
