Saturday morning, Chicago police said charges were still pending in a fatal stabbing of a man in the Edgewater neighborhood.

Killed was a 21-year-old still-unidentified man who died of a stab wound to the chest, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.A man and a woman were on a sidewalk in the 5200 block of North Sheridan Road, about 11:45 Wednesday when a woman armed with a knife attempted to attack them, according to police.The armed woman was taken into custody but charges were still pending.
