Charles Barkley says Warriors are ‘cooked’ vs. Lakers, but Shaq disagrees

TNT’s “Inside the NBA” analysts had drastically different takes on the Warriors’ chances in the series.

“They’re probably saying, ‘Remember when we had them 3-1 and they came back?’ Now, they have a chance to get LeBron back,” O’Neal said, referencing the 2016 NBA Finals. “They still have a chance. They have to go home, they have to play well and they will play well.

Johnson even tried to clarify, saying, “Perhaps I should have rephrased that to be chances to win the series.” But O’Neal stuck to his guns. TNT’s other commentator, Kenny Smith, agreed and wondered about some adjustments to come. He expects the Warriors to try to keep pushing the tempo of this series.While Barkley’s words are always tinged with some dislike of the Warriors’ style of play, his assessment of Monday night didn’t seem off.
