The £250 dinner at The French will also feature wine from luxury Champagne house Pol Roger
Chef Adam Reid has announced he will be hosting an exclusive dining experience at his Manchester restaurant where those with dietary restrictions are asked not to attend.
During the dinner, Adam’s ‘unique Northern cooking’ will be paired with wines and introduced with expertise from de Billy, who is Pol Roger’s great great-grandson and the 5th generation of the family-owned Champagne house based in Épernay.READ MORE: I went inside the famous Stockport Pyramid - it seemed frozen in the past
Adam, who joined The French in 2013 as Head Chef before taking over as Chef-Patron in 2016, has been awarded 4 AA rosettes and has also won BBC’s prestigious Great British Menu competition on two occasions. The French has won numerous awards in recent years. In 1974, The French became the first Manchester city centre restaurant to be awarded a Michelin star. Set on the ground floor of the Grade II-listed Midland Hotel, the restaurant focuses on 'fine dining made local'. A sample menu for the restaurant tempts diners in with the likes of Scottish scallops, a surf and turf sausage roll and Cumbrian shorthorn loin.
