A Chicago alderman hosted a pancake breakfast fundraiser for bulletproof police department vests. The event happened in Beverly on the South Side.
CHICAGO -- A $20 to-go box filled with pancakes and sausage has been playing a part in saving the lives of Chicago police officers.
"Now more than ever, we really need to band together and let them when men and women know law enforcement, we got their back," O'Shea said. "If humanity's about anything, it's about being together and working together and taking care of each other. And that's really what today is. You see a lot of beautiful hearts down here," Eigenberg said.
