Chicago weekend shootings: 3 dead, 11-year-old among 10 hurt
CHICAGO – At least three people are dead, and 11 others are wounded in shootings across the city as of Saturday. The ages of the victims range from 10 to 54. In the first shooting of the weekend, a 54-year-old man was on the sidewalk Friday around 6:40 p.m., in the 3000 block of West Walnut Street in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, when he was shot in the face by an unknown offender.He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in fair condition.
, in the 3100 block of West 39th Place, officers responded to a shots fired call in the area and found a red Dodge SUV with two men, between 20 to 30 years old inside unresponsive. The first victim was shot in the head and was pronounced dead on the scene. The second victim was shot multiple times in the body and was also pronounced dead on the scene.
