PUTRAJAYA - A 39-year-old businessman associated with GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd claimed trial to a charge of criminal intimidation against a woman at a magistrate court. Global Ikhwan Services and Business is linked to welfare homes in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan where some children were allegedly sexually abused.Mohamad Riza allegedly threatened a 25-year-old woman to withdraw her police report against GISB.
He was charged under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation, which carries a penalty of up to two years in prison, a fine, or both, upon conviction. On Sept 11, police rescued 402 children, comprising 201 boys and 201 girls aged between one and 17, from care homes in Selangor and Negri Sembilan in a rescue operation codenamed Ops Global.
