China has declined to comment on the marriage of Bo Guagua, son of the jailed politician Bo Xilai, to an individual from Taiwan. The son of the former leader, who was once seen as a contender for top leadership, has been living abroad and keeping a low profile since his parents were jailed in 2013.

Asked about the wedding at a regular news briefing in Beijing, Chen Binhua, a spokesperson for China's Taiwan Affairs Office, said he could not comment.Pressed by a reporter on further questions about the son, Bo Guagua, Chen said he had nothing more to say about "that marriage".
