The singer-songwriter and pianist passed away at a hospital following a short illness, according to a statement on behalf of her family posted on her Twitter account. Fleetwood Mac confirmed Ms. McVie’s death on the band’s social-media accounts, calling her “the best musician anyone could have in their band.”
