Tysean Moore, 30, was arrested after the chase Saturday night, police say.
Moore was wanted by police in Independence on a charge of obstructing official business. According to police, Moore refused to say who he was but was identified using fingerprints.
Officers tried to stop a vehicle Moore was driving just before 11 p.m. Saturday on the 4000 block of Center Road, police say. The vehicle sped off with police in pursuit and officers eventually used a spike strip to end the chase near Marks and Boston roads. Moore reportedly tried to run from police but was quickly caught. He was taken to the Cleveland Clinic’s Brunswick Family Health Center after complaining of shortness of breath. Police say he then assaulted two workers at the center.
Moore has been charged with two counts of assault and a count of fleeing and eluding, according to Medina Municipal Court records. He is being held in the Medina County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
