Easter is more than three months away, but the supermarket giant couldn’t wait to stick them on the shelves after the sweet buns sold like hot cakes in the post-Christmas period last year.
Alas, from today, you can pick up the buns in fruit, apple and cinnamon, chocolate or fruitless varieties. Another wrote: “Boxing Day buns! Don’t insult my intelligence by calling them anything but what they are EASTER Hot Cross buns.”Coles own brand manager Jasmine Medwell defended their decision to starting selling hot cross buns early.
