Instead of making a move to inspire the USC fanbase, athletic director Mike Bohn has opted to keep the football program mired in mediocrity.It wasn’t a popular decision among a fan base that wanted a proven head coach to lead the program back to national championship contention. Helton had never been a head coach before. He was hired by Kiffin after being an assistant coach at Memphis and was retained by Sarkisian.
