BREAKING 'The FAA has ordered airlines to pause all domestic departures until 9 a.m. Eastern Time to allow the agency to validate the integrity of flight and safety information.'
A computer failure at the FAA is impacting flights nationwide, causing delays and threating a possible nationwide grounding.
"The FAA is still working to fully restore the Notice to Air Missions system following an outage," the agency said in an update statement. "The FAA has ordered airlines to pause all domestic departures until 9 a.m. Eastern Time to allow the agency to validate the integrity of flight and safety information."
The agency said that some functions are beginning to come back online, but that "National Airspace System operations remain limited."
