An Indiana State Prison supervisor was hospitalized on Monday after being hit in the head with a steel pipe by an inmate. The victim was in critical condition.
Indiana State PrisonJeremy W. Davidson, 39, hit the supervisor on the head with a steel pipe. The victim was transported to the hospital after the attack.
Inmates were working in a steel shop at around 12:30 p.m. local time Monday when an argument broke out between Davidson and the supervisor, police said in a press release.The argument turned physical when Davidson hit the supervisor on the head with a steel pipe, causing potentially life-threatening injuries.
The victim was flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital and underwent emergency treatment. The victim was in critical condition.
