The man, identified Thursday as William Ray, 42, of East Orange, allegedly entered an Investors Bank branch on Route 70 in Cherry Hill at 4:43 p.m on Dec. 22, held the employees at gunpoint and attempted to lock them in a vault before fleeing with the money, according to a joint statement from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cherry Hill Police Department.
On Dec. 30, detectives from multiple agencies executed a search warrant at Ray’s home around 6 a.m. but he was not there, the office said. He was charged with two counts of robbery, aggravated assault and several weapons-related offenses. Ray was located and arrested Thursday at 7:30 a.m. in Passaic by members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division and Newark Division, police said.
Ray remained in custody at the Camden County Correctional Facility, authorities said. Attorney information for Ray was not immediately available.
