No. 8 D- II team needs to win CCAA tournament first
The Cal State San Marcos softball team, regular-season champions of the CCAA, open play Thursday in the conference tournament at Cal State Monterey Bay.
Palomar , the conference champion, hosts No. 12 Pasadena in a double-elimination affair Friday and Saturday. Southwestern is seeded No. 15 and has a play-in game today at No. 18 Los Angeles Valley . The winner advances to play at No. 2-seeded Glendale Friday and Saturday.
