SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health reported another 40 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore as of noon on Sunday , taking the country’s total to 57,022.
Four of the cases are from the community, all of whom are Work Pass holders. There are also 13 imported cases, who have been placed on Stay-Home Notice since arriving in Singapore, said MOH. In its nightly update on Saturday, the ministry said that three new clusters had been detected at migrant worker dormitories that were previously declared cleared of the virus: Cochrane Lodge I, Mandai Lodge I and Tuas South Dormitory. They were linked to nine, 17 and 11 earlier confirmed cases respectively.
Amongst the 29 cases residing in dormitories, 14 were identified earlier as contacts of previous cases, and had already been quarantined to prevent further transmission. They were tested during quarantine to determine their status.Stay in the know on-the-go: Join Yahoo Singapore's Telegram channel at http://t.me/YahooSingaporeCOVID-19: Singapore confirms 34 new cases, 3 in the community
