JUST IN – COVID-19: Taskforce set up to manage infections within foreign worker population
Announced at a COVID-19 multi-ministry taskforce virtual press conference on Thursday , the foreign worker taskforce comprises Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean as advisor, and members of the Singapore Armed Forces and Singapore Police Force . It has been operationalised since Monday.
Living conditions in dormitoriesSince Monday, steps have been taken to standardise the delivery of daily needs within the four dorms gazetted as social isolation areas. These include the timely delivery of quality meals, cleaning and removal of garbage up to three times a day and disinfection of the premises up to three times daily.
Standards at the dormitories have improved greatly, said Teo, and the government will replicate these measures and standards in all dormitories, regardless whether they are gazetted as isolation areas or not.
