The blue crayon weighs a remarkable 1,166 pounds , is 15 ft. long and 1.33 feet in diameter, made in America's favorite color.EASTON, Pa. — Crayola's over 1,000-pound crayon has left its teens and officially entered adulthood!

The"Big Blue" crayon was introduced to the world 20 years ago today at a hometown parade marking the 100th birthday of an American icon- the Crayola crayon. The blue crayon weighs a remarkable 1,166 pounds , is 15 ft. long and 1.33 feet in diameter, made in America's favorite color. Big Blue was born with the help of kids across the country who contributed their blue"leftolas"- also known as leftover broken crayons. The waxy nubs were melted down with hot liquid paraffin wax to form a crayon equaling 123,000 regular-size crayons.

In 2003, Big Blue broke the world record for the largest crayon. Fourteen years later, the crayon's cousin"Bluetiful," which calls Crayola Experience Orlando home- surpassed Bue Blue in size, weighing in at 1,352 pounds. While Big Blue no longer holds any record title, it is still adored by fans everywhere and is available for visits and photographs at Crayloa Experience Easton.
