In San Francisco, city officials, in particular the Fire Chief, have been on an active campaign against the pilot deployment of robotaxis in their city. We understand and approve the idea that some risks are acceptable, particularly if they offer great reward. Almost all of us speed, putting ourselves and everybody else on the road into a modest amount of mortal risk, just so we can get to a party one minute earlier.
