The Carlisle Sentinel, located in downtown Carlisle, has announced that it will cut back the print publication of its newspaper to three days a week. A newspaper in Cumberland County has announced it will now publish its print edition three days a week but also promises to expand its content.will now publish its newspaper on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The new publication schedule will begin on June 27.
The 162-year-old newspaper, which now publishes its print edition six days a week, made the announcement over the weekend. The newspaper said it is changing with the habits of its readers.The Sentinel said that every print edition will be an expanded edition, with more content, more sections and more pages. All seven days of comics and puzzles will be included in the three print editions.
The newspaper said it will print a digital edition of the paper on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday., which is reportedly making similar changes at other newspapers it owns. Lee Enterprises has nearly 350 digital platforms and print publications serving 77 markets in 26 states.
