LABUAN: Sabah Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) Chairperson Vivian Wong Shir Yee assured the best service for all commercial vehicle operators here despite not having an office on the island.

Vivian, who is also Sandakan MP, said this at a CVLB Sabah dialogue with various commercial vehicle operators in Labuan recently. Vivian is the first CVLB Sabah Chairperson to hold a face-to-face meeting with operators and stakeholders in Labuan. During the nearly two-hour session, several representatives from local taxi associations, e-hailing operators, minibus and lorry associations, and transport operators presented various issues related to the concerns of their respective organisations.

“Although not all the issues raised can be resolved immediately, most operators and stakeholders are happy with the dialogue.“They hope it will also become a common thing and necessity through the involvement of CVLB Sabah which is sensitive to its customers who are far from CVLB Sabah offices,” Vivian said.

Vivian also vowed to continue to meet with various stakeholders of the commercial vehicle industry throughout the State to collect much-needed feedback and suggestions directly. She said the Board of Directors, together with the Ministry of Transport, would examine every issue raised so as to improve CVLB Sabah services.* Follow us on Instagram and join our Telegram and/or WhatsApp channel for the latest news you don't want to miss.
