The Sendee family will serve its last creamy pumpkin curry on Dec. 24.
The success of the Sendee family’s Danville restaurant has had as much to do with chef Sam’s famous lemongrass chicken as it has with wife and co-owner Marysa’s unwavering hospitality.to focus on rest and retirement. They will serve their last tom yum gai on Dec. 24, but not without a party. In typical Sendee fashion, they are throwing a farewell soiree and inviting their customers to celebrate with small plates and Thai tea.
The party is from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 18 at 254 Rose St., Suite 3318, Danville. Details, including RSVP, are on the restaurant’s“I feel sad because I’ll miss my customers,” says Marysa, a former nursing assistant who helped grow the business in those early years by working the graveyard shift at John Muir Hospital before getting her kids to school and running the front of the house until closing. “I told him I’d help for one year and I never went back.
