Mayor Bill de Blasio is finally above 1 percent in the polls — as a candidate who voters said gave the worst performance in the recent Democratic presidential debate.
Among Democrats who saw or paid close attention to last week’s debates, 6 percent said de Blasio did the worst job out of the 20 candidates who participated, according toThat’s compared to 9 percent each for former Vice President Joe Biden and self-help author Marianne Williamson, 7 percent for Sen.was the top pick for best performer in the debate, with 28 percent choosing her. Fewer than 1 percent of respondents said de Blasio did the best job.
Quinnipiac surveyed 807 Democrats and independent voters who lean Democratic between Aug. 1 and Aug. 5. The poll had a 4.1-point margin of error.
