Interested candidates for the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation should apply by Friday.
The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners is looking for residents who would be interested in serving on the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation Executive Committee. The commissioners, as the corporate members of CAEDC, are looking for a community-minded candidate to fill the vacant position.
The executive committee includes the chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, and treasurer of the CAEDC board of directors, and an individual designated by the board of commissioners. The executive committee provides recommendations to the board of directors, evaluates day-to-day operations, employee relations, and implements recommendations from the CEO for day-to-day operations.Knowledge of nonprofit corporations, including governance and organizational development issues.
Knowledge of economic development and entrepreneurship, workforce development, or tourism and marketing. The candidate will serve until January 2024 and is subject to the appointment or re-appointment by the Cumberland County commissioners. The executive meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month from 8 to 9:15 a.m.
