I know this because I trawled through Dave’s Instagram to find him exploring town, soaking in the sights of the skyline as well as the NDP rehearsals. Oh, and not forgetting satiating snacks like lobsters and ice cream as well as cendol. They’ve been busy alright, coming in three-quarters into their 2019 Summer tour which will end in September, with Singapore being the only Asia stop.
Nick, I understand that you guys were really young when you and Ben started the band. And then two new bandmates joined the group. So how has it been incorporating the new guys into the band? Dave and Zac were perfect. I mean, the audition process was extraordinarily short. We found them quickly and it was a really great boost of energy and excitement, for all of the miles and roads in front of us to come. Ben and I, and the rest of the band, we went from this place where we couldn't quite see over the next mountain top, to suddenly we got to the top of it with Zac and Dave, and there was this infinite horizon in front of us. That was really exciting.Dave: Yeah .
Okay, so in Singapore we thrive on the theme ‘nostalgia’, and we celebrate, from food to heritage buildings. I know Dave has been walking around town, trying lots of lobster ice cream. So I was wondering what is ‘nostalgia’ to you as a band, or even in your music?
