City officials said more than 4,000 people attended the event despite the chilly weather.
When this year’s Halloween brought freezing temperatures and a dusting of snow, Monique Vina of Aurora and her daughter Nina, 3, found a perfect solution to cash in on some goodies without having to deal too long with the elements. “This is the first time I’ve come to this and it is really nice,” Vina said as she looked at booths scattered along Water Street Mall in downtown Aurora during the annual Halloween at City Hall event.
It also gave our staff an opportunity to interact with the community,” he said. “You take days like today with the inclement weather and it offers those families that come down the chance to see the 20 departments that are there,” he said Tuesday. “It’s like going to 20 different houses or maybe a couple of blocks and they can do it all in 15 to 20 minutes and are back inside in less than an hour and everybody is happy.
