Yes, definitely there was a time. It was four years ago. I had a down period in my career. When I began acting, I guess I didn’t know who I was as a human being, and it felt like I was being led instead of me being the leader. But during this six-month period of rest, I realized that I was a daughter who was beloved by my mom and my dad, and also, more importantly, I realized that I have to love myself and take charge of my life.

You’re on an empty highway with Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino. It’s just like: What. The. Hell. I just tried to soak it all up and walked around with a notebook like the dorkiest person out there.
