EXCLUSIVE: Strictly dancer Dianne Buswell opens up to OK! about the new series of the show, her relationship with boyfriend Joe Sugg and the secrets to her infamous red hair
Strictly Come Dancing is gearing up to return for another exciting year, and as always the show’s professional dancers have been hard at work perfecting their routines. And one dancer who is no stranger to the Strictly buzz is Dianne Buswell , who can’t wait to get back on-screen.
Dianne may not have held up the Glitterball Trophy yet on Strictly , but the star has made friends for life — both in her fellow dancers and her celebrity partners. Amy had the support of the Strictly crew during her time off, with Dianne revealing that she had regular catch-ups with Amy. “I wanted to be her support,” she says. “So, yeah, I was constantly checking in, and doing all I could to just try and make her feel somewhat better.”
“I go back home every day after rehearsals and when you’re living together you constantly feel like you’re always seeing each other anyway, which is lovely. ButAdmitting both she and Joe are romantics at heart, the dancer can’t help but sing her partner’s praises as we wonder what her favourite things about him are.
As we chat about food, we wonder whether Dianne follows a diet to stay in shape for dancing. Explaining that she’s an advocate for natural foods, she says, “I like to eat as clean and as natural as possible. I’m not a huge fan of packaged foods. I try my hardest to eat as naturally as possible. But I don’t count my calories or anything like that.”
