The circular model builds economic, natural and social capital based on three principles to cultivate green practices.

On Aug 15, Star Media Group’s Circular Economy Conference will return for its third year. In partnership with UOB as the event’s platinum sponsor, this year’s theme, “Green Investment Towards a Circular Economy,” aims to encourage participants to invest in cutting-edge technologies or systems – for example, in waste management – in line with Malaysia’s sustainability goals and aspirations towards Net Zero by 2050.

The circular model builds economic, natural and social capital based on three principles to cultivate green practices: designing out waste and pollution; keeping products and materials in use for as long as possible; and regenerating natural systems. UOB has been working with Star Media Group to consolidate the driving financial practices and solutions to achieve the nation’s net-zero goal by 2050.

UOB has developed one of the most comprehensive and market-leading financing frameworks and solutions. This framework supports companies that are contributing to the creation of smart cities, construction of green buildings, facilitating green trade, transitioning away from energy-intensive, brown and ‘hard-to-abate sectors’, and creating a circular economy.
