Disney is planning to remove 'certain content' from their Disney+ streaming service in the coming months, according to an earnings call.
Will Disney remove content from Disney+?has reported that during Disney’s earnings call that took place on Wednesday, CFO Christine McCarthy stated that the company is “in the process of reviewing the content on our DTC services to align with the strategic changes in our approach to content curation,” and “will be removing certain content from our
streaming platforms.”when the streamer removed a number of series and movies in late 2022 with little notice around the time of the Warner Bros. and Discovery merger. Disney didn’t elaborate on the sort of content that would be removed, but McCarthy also stated that the company intends to “produce lower volumes of content in alignment with this strategic shift.”
