They warned that that killer intent would not abate and that police were facing a difficult moment due to cuts to officer numbers and wider budgets."The previous reduction in threat assessment led to discussions of removal of firearms from police officers.
"We’re not going to be deterred from providing our visible, accessible responsive policing to the community, we’re determined not to go backwards. "We have the money to deal with this but we are on record as saying that resources and money for the entirety of policing is under a little strain," he said.
