Rumours of a new Doom game being announced next month continue to pile up and it sounds like it has a medieval setting.
Doomguy sounds like he’s back in action The original idea behind Microsoft buying Bethesda was that all the games would become Xbox console exclusives. Microsoft has always been reluctant to admit that but information from the FTC legal battle year made it clear Xbox boss Phil Spencer had made the decision as early as 2021.
After that, Windows Central’s Jez Corden also stated that the game will be multiformat, with everyone agreeing that the game will be shown at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9. 2020’s Doom Eternal was also released on Nintendo Switch, but at the moment there’s no mention of that happening with the new game, which is implied to be current gen-only.
