A black 2004 Lexus went off a bridge and landed in a body of water in Montgomery Township in Somerset County on Friday, police said.

A driver died on Friday after the car he was driving in Somerset County plunged off a bridge and into a brook in Montgomery Township, authorities said. The crash was reported about 12:45 p.m. in the area of Griggstown Road and Pike Run Road, according to police. Responding patrol officers found a black 2004 Lexus partially submerged in the water below the Pike Brook Bridge, police said.
Officers entered the water and removed the unconscious driver from the vehicle with the help of township firefighters and EMS workers.Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Officer Timothy Giaccone at 908-359-3222.
