The Siberian husky named Ace is expected to survive. The driver is facing an animal cruelty charge.
A 40-year-old man was charged with animal cruelty earlier this month after tying his Siberian husky to the tow hitch of his truck and dragging the dog for a half-mile in South Brunswick, authorities said.
Neighbors saw the man, a South Brunswick resident, driving with the dog being pulled forcefully down Henderson Road and were able to get him to stop, South Brunswick police saidThe man was brought to the Middlesex County jail following his arrest on the third-degree charge shortly before 8:30 p.m. on April 7. Attorney information wasn’t immediately available.
