Robert Alcazar-Sanchez, 27, of Jackson, pleaded guilty to knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in the death of Phyllis Shtab, of Howell, according to county Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Phyllis Shtab died in the hospital on Dec. 26, 2020, authorities said. Her husband was treated and released.
“Further investigation revealed that Alcazar-Sanchez then fled the United States and traveled to Mexico,” Billhimer said.
