DRIVER were clocked doing up to 82mph when 40mph speed cameras were installed on the M8 near Glasgow.
With some motorists recorded travelling at speeds of up to 82mph, this is more than double the temporary 40mph speed limit.A spokesperson for Police Scotland said:"At major roadwork sites the road layout and temporary surfaces can change regularly, so it’s critical that motorists drive at a safe speed.
"The TASCAR has been shown to increase speed limit compliance and improve driver behaviour at locations where essential work is being undertaken. Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
