Two New York residents had 120 pounds of marijuana in their vehicle during a traffic stop in North Jersey, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
Xian Fang Mei, 62, and Xian Wei Tang, 39, both of Queens, New York, were traveling through Bergen County on Wednesday and were stopped by officers from the Prosecutor’s Offices Narcotic Task Force, officials said. Officers found 120 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle and charged Mei and Tang with first-degree possession with intent to distribute marijuana over 25 pounds, authorities said.They were both released pending a first appearance in county court.
