UPDATE: The eastbound lanes of Loop 1604 and the eastbound and westbound frontage roads are now open, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety in San Antonio.

Sky 12 shows traffic backed up on Loop 1604 near La Cantera on the afternoon of May 19, 2023. TxDOT closed Loop 1604 because of downed power lines in the area.The eastbound lanes of Loop 1604 and the eastbound and westbound frontage roads are now open, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety in San Antonio.We’ll bring more updates as they become available.

*UPDATE 4:20 PM* EB Loop 1604 is now open. EB/WB frontage roads are open as well. WB Loop 1604 remains closed. Seek alternate route.
