The invitation came in response to Trump’s comments last month in which he called Cumming a “brutal bully” and described his district “as far worse and more dangerous” than the conditions at the southern border. “Look at [White House chief of staff Mick] Mulvaney’s former district – look at the stats on that – and it’s an interesting comparison,” Cummings said.
