Scenting a new opportunity, the world's richest man said he sold $2M worth of the perfume in just a few hours
The Boring Company has just started selling a fragrance in what appears to be Elon Musk’s latest cash grab.
The fragrance is dubbed Burnt Hair and according to Musk, is an “omnigender product.” It comes in a flashy red glass bottle but given that deliveries won’t start until the first quarter of 2023, it is unclear if it will actually smell like burnt hair, or perhaps something more pleasant. Taking to Twitter to announce the product, Musk said that Doge coins can be used to purchase the perfume and quickly confirmed that within hours of launching the fragrance, 10,000 bottles of it had been sold, rising that number to 20,000 bottles within a few hours. With each costing $100, that represents a cool $2 million in revenue for The Boring Company.
