PERTH – ASX-listed Energy Resources of Australia has delayed the rehabilitation feasibility study for its Ranger uranium project, in the Northern Territory.

The feasibility study was initially slated for completion in September this year, however, given the need for additional studies, ERA now expected to receive the final feasibility study in October. ERA has previously flagged that the cost of the rehabilitation work could exceed the A$1.6-billion to A$2.

ERA did, however, say that the total rehabilitation costs would ‘materially exceed’ the previous independent estimate, and that the final completion date of the rehabilitation work would also be delayed.
