Eskom is urging households to delay the recharging of their backup power supplies after power cuts have ended.

"Provided we are not in a Stage 5 or Stage 6 load-shedding, there is enough time between loadshedding intervals to charge your batteries. "But the more load-shedding we have in the 24-hour intervals, the less time to charge your batteries."
